Everyone has a story or background that fuels their passion. Mine goes like this:
Growing up with a Greek mother, there was always an herbal remedy, Mediterranean meal, or prayer for every ailment. After having my first son, I developed my own health issues and my body was in a constant state of fight or flight. Not to mention my thyroid stopped working and doctors only threw prescriptions my way. Once, I begged my doctor to help me when I expressed how much I hated my awful PMS symptoms. Can you guess his answer? It was an antidepressant, simply because I ugly cried over every single thing for days. That wasn't the only feeling either. Ladies, you know where I am going with this. Years later, my youngest son was diagnosed with cancer. This revved my thirst for knowledge of restoring the body's natural balance. It was at this time that I was introduced to the power of essential oils and saw first hand at how they kept my chemotherapy treated son out of the hospital. We said good riddance to those nasty chemo side effects once he started using them. Shortly after, I became an Integrative Health Practitioner, where I learned how our bodies become so easily imbalanced resulting in chronic fatigue, allergies, thyroid based issues, hormonal imbalances, digestive issues, and more. I also learned what the body needs for optimal health from a bio-individual standpoint. Learning Ayurveda has been completely in tune with my soul! This passion of mine has grown so much so, that I want to shout it from the roof tops to anyone seeking a healthier lifestyle. Mind you, I am not for everyone but rather for those who want to repair their body's foundational needs and get rid of what should not be in there.
Whatever you're going through, its just a hiccup.
This is my youngest son who was diagnosed with Leukemia at 2 years old. You can see his surgically placed port in his chest for the countless different chemotherapy treatments he received. We did the best we can to support and nurture his body. I cannot say it enough, how my essential oils played an intense roll in doing just that.
As you can see, he was thoroughly enjoying this sandwich. This was just one of many losing food battles that was demanded by him thanks to those fierce steroid cravings. If you know me, you know that that white bread was the cause of my constant state of eye twitching during these steroidal food cravings. However, going through this hiccup and giving yourself (myself in this case) grace is really important. Lord knew we as parents really needed it during these times.
